Disrupting Music Commerce - Paul Woolnough

Many musicians are seeking new ways to monetize their catalog and while the last few years have seen sales of catalogs and music rights with multiples never before seen, those valuations are declining and stabilizing back down to normal levels. However due to the industry standard practice of advancing revenues and recouping that from the artists share of the income, very few artists own the rights to their catalog. The labels say they are becoming more artist friendly, but while there has been a slight shift, it is still not the norm. There is a way for these artists to take back control of their art, their life's work, and their catalog, generating sustainable, recurring, passive income streams for them and their families in perpetuity.
